Taire McCobb

Taire McCobb (he/him/his) is a transgender man, originally from Toms River, NJ. He is a multi-disciplinary artist, with experience in scenic painting, photography, and some experience in graphic design. He is specifically passionate about queer and intersectional projects.

Recently, Taire has served as a photographer for Boston University's Orientation program, interned at Chickenshed Theatre Company in London as a production intern, and worked as a Program Manager in the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground at Boston University, often using his photography and art to speak to the missions of each organization, synthesizing his artistic talents with his passion for social justice and common ground work.

He most recently worked on his thesis, A Game of LIFE: A Modern Ritual Drama, which he is directing, dramaturging, and painting. In collaboration with his thesis partner Dev Blair, the playwright and an actor in the production, this ambitious show explores how video games can interact and intersect with live theatre. 

​

In mid-May, 2019, Taire earned his BFA in Theatre Arts and a minor in Archaeology from Boston University.
